Endurance training

Cardio is definitely not only about loosing weight and running endless hours on the treadmill. Find out how you can become a cardio addict and even how to enjoy it!

Forget everything you heard about endurance or cardio training before. No, endurance training is not only about our obsession of losing weight or our appearances, and no you don’t have to run hours and hours to achieve weight loss (not to be mistaken with fat loss) or to see any cardio fitness improvement. Believe it or not, cardio training can also be an activity you do for a challenge (a race for example), or to improve your health and wellness, or even just for fun (at that point please don’t run away before you finish reading this! 😛 ).

My point is: there are so many more good reasons to want to improve your cardiovascular fitness other than looking good in that size 10 dress. If you want to develop and improve your endurance, regardless of the goal behind, you have knocked at the right door, as I am all about cardio training!

There are many benefits of doing aerobic exercises, such as:

  • Weight loss
  • Stronger heart and lungs
  • Increased bone density
  • Reduced risk of heart disease and some types of cancer
  • Helps release of neurotransmitters such as endorphin and serotonin, also called “the happy hormones”, which lead to a temporary relief from depression and anxiety, and reduce stress levels
  • Building your confidence
  • Better sleep
  • More energy globally speaking
