There are so many things to say when it comes to fat loss and nutrition! As much as I love sports, I won’t lie to you about the fact that nutrition is hugely important when it comes to body fat reduction, as much, if not more important than exercise.
I can’t emphasise enough the importance of a “healthy” balanced diet when it comes to fat loss. Most of the time, you don’t need a “diet” in the sense we give to the word nowadays, reducing you to eat only green salad and carrots. But you “only” need a “healthy” diet, which is not as complicated as it sounds.
You don’t need to spend a lot of money in all those fancy miraculous products that are invading the market. Eating healthy is much more simple than the industries make it looks like. I have been there myself, tried different things, methods, failed, many times, gave up, tried again, and the conclusion is that there are things that you can’t rush.
And all those miraculous method making you lose weight (and not necessary body fat), in a ridiculously short amount of time, are simply either instable, or lies (or both) and sometimes even dangerous. Fat loss and weight management can take time, but they are definitely worth it.
Weight management helps prevent the risk of diseases such as diabetes (type 2), high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, obesity…
But also helps to:
- Feel better when you get back this sense of control over your body
- Have more energy
- Sleep better
- Improve ability to move and get around
- Improve your immune system (ability to fight illness)
