Maintaining your baseline fitness helps cope with the effects the pregnancy has on the body and training post-partum helps to recover from the pregnancy and to get rid of the baby weight.
After seeing the health benefits for the mother and the foetus, it is now even more and more recommended to carry on with exercise during pregnancy. The benefits for the mother are not only physical, but also psychological.
But during and after pregnancy, many of the functional changes induced by the hormonal system modify aspects of the exercise response in a way that protects the foetus. So even if it is safe to exercise during your pregnancy, it has to be done while taking into consideration those changes, either during, or post-partum.
In any cases you can count on me, to help you exercise safely during pregnancy, and to achieve a successful return to training post-partum, as I can design specific pre and post natal exercise programs.
